Living in Canberra, Bungendore quickly established itself as a very pleasant place to head to on idle afternoons. People who live in Canberra will know what I mean! Not the least of the reasons was the train service between Canberra and points north, rather sparse though it was. The station building itself was a typical building of its era, but it was the old goods shed just to the south of the station and across the road that seemed to act as a compositional magnet, for me at least, although who knows when it actually contributed to the revenue of the railways. Here then are a few photos taken around the goods shed.
